I just got a call from someone (No Clue whom they are or what they are talking about) who said I owe money to a bank. They stated they can offer me a deal (Of course asking me to pay on something I know nothing about) but tomorrow they will report me to ChexSystems if I do nothing. Now I want to do research before I pay them a dime, as I have past credit issues but nothing regarding a bank account. I am repairing my credit but is this going to affect my already opened account. My current account is at B of A?

No, it should not affect your current account with B of A. Banks generally use ChexSystems at account opening to identify consumers who had left other banks with a negative balance.
This sounds like a total scam to me by whomever called you. Do not listen, and simply use your B of A account responsibily. If you go negative, pay it back ASAP.

Sounds like you%26#039;re being B.S.%26#039;d by a collection agency. Never talk to these people on the phone. Tell them to say anything they have to say in writing and forbid them to call you again. Then hang up.

yes it can affect your current account with BOA. Most times it will not but there have been instances where an account will be closed because you still owe money to another bank.
If you are going to pay for deletion, make sure you get it in writing. Chances are you are already reported to chexsystems. I would get a copy of your report to see.
