Anyone know about First National Card?

I received a card offer today called First National Merchant Card, from CCS First National in Las Vegas. Since I%26#039;m looking to repair my credit, is this a wise option or is it a scam ? Any info about this card or company would be appreciated.

The other poster answered your question beautifully. I just wanted to state that my own experience with this card started when I received one in the mail last year as if I%26#039;d requested a credit card with them. A red flag went up. Since I%26#039;d spent years building my credit back up and suddenly I have this card in the mail that I didn%26#039;t want. Also, there%26#039;s the concern over ID theft. Who knows, this could have been someone%26#039;s attempt to get a card sent to my address and they were to steal it out of my mailbox or something. These are things people should be concerned about anyway. I got another one the other day and simply cut it up.

But it turns out this is just a scam company. Comments all across the net show that people have been falling for this company%26#039;s pitch at least since 1998. They should rename themselves The Clean-Out-Your-Bank-Account Company, Inc. I don%26#039;t think it%26#039;s a bad business practice to supply people with a catalogue account and a catalogue of merchandise to order from, but this company is more concerned with getting your money and giving you a catalogue of stuff you don%26#039;t want to order from. Have a problem? Well, they%26#039;ll just give you more credit that you can use towards stuff you don%26#039;t want. One guy complained that the catalogue he%26#039;d been sent in the fall was a spring version. Heh! So they sent him a %26quot;new%26quot; catalogue that just happened to be the same out of date one he%26#039;d gotten before. Spring!

I recommend this site for more info on the experience others have had with this shady company: http://www.ripoffreport.com/ There%26#039;s even a former employee who posts (spews) there to truly show you what kind of people you%26#039;re dealing with. Even a former employee won%26#039;t admit they are doing anything wrong. I also read some material that detailed the lawsuit against this company in 1998 and how difficult it is in general to close down these places.

Consumer beware!

It is a scam look it up on the BBB website you might have to look at the vegas site to make sure. Yeah I got one of these merchant cards before. But it was just for their stuff which was all junk. And I had to pay all these fees. If you can%26#039;t get credit from household or capital one then I would get a secured card from your bank. You put down a deposit it which is usually your credit limit and then they give it back to you in like a year and give you a unsercured card if you credit is better by then. Please be careful of these offers. I fell for one once when I was younger and all they did was take my money. Just pay your bills and you will get the credit you deserve.
