Need advice on money.?

I%26#039;m getting married in 5 months. My Fiance and I are paying for everything. We%26#039;ve already cut everything to a bare minimum. We have good jobs, but as luck goes our savings keeps going to one thing another (i got sick, then my cat got sick, car needed tires).

I%26#039;m currently repairing my credit so my score is kinda low (511 yuck) and his isn%26#039;t too great either. We%26#039;d be happy to get a Credit Card or loan (helps build credit).

Does anyone have any good ideas on some ways to get some extra cash or companies that will lend to %26quot;poor%26quot; credit customers with no equity?

When my husband and I were stuck with low credit scores, we went to our local credit union. My dad signed a personal loan and my husband cosigned; we borrowed $2,000 to start off with, and paid it back within 2 months. Then we borrowed again for $3,000 paid it off in 3 months. After we done this to prove our %26quot;credit worthiness%26quot; the credit union financed our car and truck, house and our newly acquired business loans. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend a credit card. They are just too tempting.

Congratulations on getting married.

You cannot borrow your way out of money problems ... getting a loan right now is really the LAST thing that you need.

What you DO need is to learn how to budget and make wise financial choices. You can get a free online budget coach from www.Crown.org (a christian site), and/or read David Ramsey%26#039;s Total Money Makeover.

I assume that you %26amp; your fiance have discussed your credit %26amp; financial situation %26amp; can accept it.

Either of you can probably qualify for some kind of credit. Secured or low-limit credit cards, for example. Beware of %26quot;payday loans%26quot;, however. They%26#039;re a big rip-off %26amp; can get you in trouble real quick.

If you%26#039;re careful not to overextend yourselves, make timely payments %26amp; pay off balances as soon as possible, you should be OK.

BTW, Congratulations! Good luck %26amp; happiness to you both.

The most productive manner to raise additional cash is to take a second job. With the holiday season approaching, you should be able to find a part-time retail job. Borrowing additional funds will not not aid in increasing your credit rating. Most folks can find a way to save additional funds. Some examples of decreasing costs include: cut off the cable TV, eat out less often and take a lunch to work.
