Will I be more likely to be accepted by Vanquis or Capital One - I have just been declined by Aqau?

hello, unfortunately i have a poor credit rating. this is to do with 3 defaults all from 2002 when I was a student (two have been settled, and one is outstanding). i really want to repair my credit rating as I am a responsible person, with some savings and will be aiming to apply for a morgage within about a year. i have heard that it is possible to actively repair credit ratings by responsibly using a high interest credit card, such as Vanquis., Acqua or Capital One. I have just applied for the Aqua card and been declined. Does anyone know if I would have a better chance with Vanquis or Capital One? This credit card will be used purely to rebuild my credit. I will buy something every month and pay it off in full each month to avoid the high interest. I am fearful about applying for another card because i know searches have a bad effect on credit scores. Any help or advice anyone has about ways to actively rebuild a poor credit rating would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

I%26#039;m in the same boat as you, i also have a bad credit rating with one default. Capital one accepted me so they will probably accept you as well. I just spend about 鎷?0 and pay it of in full every month.

You won%26#039;t have any luck with Capital One but I can tell you that you will be accepted in Vanquis, the only thing that they will give you a very low credit on it, they accept people with bad credit or not credit history, so go for it, as long as you reside here permanently and you are over 18 you won%26#039;t have any problem. Apply for it , you will get it.

Only Vanquis but they are owned by Provident and very high interest rate and a very low credit limit, usually about 鎷?00, it wont re build your credit, it lets other creditors see that nobody would give you a card except Vanquis.
