is there a way of fixing this problem without paying not that i%26#039;m tight. I have norton and it says its infected but even when i push repair it stills starts up and runs slow the next time HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP THANKS MARK

Hi, just do the following steps and ur pc should be fine:

1.disable system restore

2.restart in safe mode and visit http://onecare.live.com and run Microsoft%26#039;s free safety scan to remove all viruses, trojans, spyware, malware, and registry errors.

3.after that restart normally and upgrade ur security protection and scan from it or download these tools below, update them and scan from them:

AVG Anti virus: http://free.grisoft.com

Spybot: http://www.download.com

4.now clear ur browsers cache, cookies, histroy, etc.

5.defragment ur hard disk and scan for errors and bad sectors.

6.restart ur computer normally and u can enable system restore if u want but I suggest u don%26#039;t cause all it does is take up system resources and disk space and allows viruses to create back up of themselves.

Try running a free internet online scan at panda internet security. It will tell you the state of your pc but won%26#039;t clear it for free. To do that save the page that tell you what files are infected then search for the file and delete it manually.

Run AV scan in safe mode.

Run a couple good Free Antispyware programs like Superantispyware and A-Squared Free 3.0 to check for any spyware.

Delete Windows system restore points if infections are found.

Norton is rubbish it slows you computer down uninstall it and download AVG free anti virus @ grisoft.com
