Should I charge my body repair?

I don%26#039;t know how much it is going to cost to fix my car, but I got into an accident have little than 100 dollars in the bank, should I charge my car to a credit card, the only problem with the car is that the hood is bent and the grill is pushed inward

Should I charge my body repair?

I%26#039;d save the money in case something really bad happens.

If the car runs, keep driving.

Should I charge my body repair?

if u hurtin for money, dont. car still runs

Should I charge my body repair?

u cant really do much with $100 i think u should save a little more..

Should I charge my body repair?

if it was your fault yes or check with your ins if it was their fault then their ins will have to pay

Should I charge my body repair?

That shouldn%26#039;t be too exspensive just a new hood and grill it sounds like. Go ahead...its much cheaper than a new car :)

Should I charge my body repair?

If you can%26#039;t pay cash for the repairs, then don%26#039;t have it repaired. If the accident wasn%26#039;t your fault then the other driver%26#039;s insurance company should pay for the damages. Honestly, if the car is running fine and it%26#039;s just superficial body damage then I don%26#039;t know that I would bother having it fixed if I had to pay out of pocket myself.

Should I charge my body repair?

i wouldnt you be paying that forever i would go to a bank and get a low interest loan will your car insurance pay for any of it? Deductible?

Should I charge my body repair?

Drive it as long as its safe

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

this dealership said it would not look bad on my credit but i think he is just saying that to get a sale. im upside down on my car 10 thousand dollars and i dont have the money to get it fixed. what should i do?

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

having been a bill collector I can tell you that even if you let them repossess it, you will most definitely have a deficient balance owing on the vehicle. I saw it a thousand times. People think that once the creditor repo%26#039;s the vehicle that, that%26#039;s the end of it. WRONG! the vehicle in question would go to auction, it needs major work.. I suspect the auction price wouldn%26#039;t exceed $1,000. leaving the balance of $9,000 still owing %26lt;YOU WOULD OWE THAT AMOUNT or whatever is left remaining and the creditor will send the balance to collections ruining your credit, or at the very least dinging it badly. The dealership is LYING to you!! GOOD LUCK!

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

Dealer is lying. Sell your car or get a loan to fix it. Then talk to loan company for some adjustment in installments.

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

THE DEALERSHIP IS BLOWING SMOKE AND IT WILL NOT ONLY LOOK BAD ON YOUR CREDIT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET ANOTHER VEHICLE.

A TYPICAL REPOSSESSION WILL BE ON YOUR RECORD FOR 7 TO 10 YEARS AND YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT ANY LOW INTEREST RATES AS WELL.

GET THE VEHICLE REPAIRED, ASK A FAMILY MEMBER OR A FRIEND FOR THE MONEY AND WORK IT OUT TO PAY THEM BACK AND PAY OFF THE VEHICLE.

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

It will ruin your credit and stay on your report for 10 years. Take it to a dealer, trade it in if you can and get whatever you can out of it and roll it into a lease, your payment might be higher but your negative equity will be over at the end of the lease. Also if you do get it repo%26#039;d they will sue you and if you do not pay for the remaining balance on the car they can garnish your wages, meaning they take a certain amount out of every one of your paychecks to pay off the car you got repo%26#039;d.

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

If they repo it, you are responsible for difference for what you owe and what it sells for. Letting it get repoed will solve zero of your problems, actually you just added more problems. They will get a judgment against you and the courts will force you to pay anyway.

My car needs about 2000 dollars in repair, should i let it get repossessed and get another one?

Borrow the money to fix it. Any dealer that says a repo won%26#039;t hurt your credit is a liar.

Is there anyone who can help me repair my house?

I live in Portland, oregon. I am a low income single mom. My house has been reported to the Portland Development people. I do not have the funds to do it myself or the skills. I do not have credit so a loan could be out of the question. Are there any charitable or church organizations who can help me?

Is there anyone who can help me repair my house?

Contact Mend-a-home in Portland

http://www.unlimitedchoices.org/mendahom...

But, first sit down and write a simple, one page synopsis of your situation and needs.

One paragraph describing your family and income level. A second paragraph detailing the required repairs, etc. Keep it simple. And, only ask for the most needed repairs.

You might also mail the page to a couple large churches in your area. Many bring in huge teams of volunteers each summer.

But, first they visit the homes, interview the residents, and %26quot;line up%26quot; their projects.

Best to you.

What's the difference between consumer credit & hp agreements?

Does anyone know the legal differences of goods supplied on a contract later found to be unenforceable and non-executable and if so what%26#039;s the significance if the borrower refused to pay any mloney on the agreement because goods supplied were faulty, potentially illegal and the vendor refused to repair, replace or cancel the agreement?

Would this mean the borrower is in a very seirous problem if they then refuse to pay and have in fact never paid anything on the agreement

Thanks

What%26#039;s the difference between consumer credit %26amp; hp agreements?

In uk, if the goods are faulty you ask for repair / replacement at the discretion of the vendor.

They obviously attempt a repair where this is the most economic for them, if not they should replace without question.

Only an Idiot would pay for goods that are defect!

Obviously, once the problem is remedied and you have possession of USEFUL goods then you pay your first payment!

The difference twixt HP %26amp; CC is simple;

HP = If you do not maintain correct %26amp; proper payment the goods may be repossessed, or goods to the same value, but the vendor must first gain a possession order / distress warrant from the relevant court.

This can only be served by a bailliff under police escort, only the police can serve a copy of the relevant document, BEFORE the bailliff can gain entry / possesssion.

CC = The vendor does not have the same level of protection, %26amp; would most likely need to %26quot;file a suite%26quot; for civil damages, as possession is 9/10 of the law.

In conclusion, seek FREE legal advice, poste haste, on the validity of the contract which you believe is %26quot;null %26amp; void%26quot;.

It may be best for you to inform the police of a criminal act, it is possible they will send you to trading standards.

Do NOT release the goods to the police or any else without demanding a receipt!!!

This should be dated, stamped, their name, rank etc. printed AND signed!!!

What%26#039;s the difference between consumer credit %26amp; hp agreements?

If the goods are faulty the vendor by law has to repair or replace

if illegal you can inform the police. If vendor refuses to repair, replace or cancel agreement then take them to a county court also you can get advice on were you stand by citizens advice.I would say you have a very good case against the vendor.

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

I was 17 when I had to see doctor when I broke a bone in my foot I needed surgery to repair. They never asked me for my mothers name or info can I remove this

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

Yup, it%26#039;s your parents responsibility not yours. Remind the bureaus of your current age with a copy of your ID, also have them validate the date of the hospital visit. Also mention that you know your rights and would have no problem getting an atty. That alone should be enough, but I would also write a letter to the billing dept of the hospital and send them copies of the letter you sent to the bureau. Tell them they%26#039;ve got 30 days to respond or you will get an atty. Keep records of your correspondence with them. If they don%26#039;t budge you can take them to small claims, and win.

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

You need the services of a ATTORNEY.

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

You can file a statement on the collection that tells those who look at your report you were underage when it occurred and that since you%26#039;ve been an adult you have been stellar with your credit. Also after 7 years it drops out of your score for almost all credit agencies.

If you haven%26#039;t paid the debt yet, you could tell the collector that you will only pay if they are willing to remove the delinquency.

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

Yes, go to www.annualcreditreport.com

Let them know that you were 17 at the time.

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

If you were a minor, and have proof of such, challenge the delinquency... You%26#039;re parents should have been responsible for this, and present to authorize medical treatment...

Also, if they refuse to dismiss the charge, challenge it... If the creditor can%26#039;t prove that the charge was made by you, they have to remove it. I think they have to do so within 14 days or so...

Can i remove a collection from credit report if I was underage when it accured?

Yes. Dispute it with the credit bureaus that have it on your file. Then, write a letter to the collection agency who reported it. Tell them to validate it by providing a copy of the signed document.

Your letter should ask for the following:

1.A copy of the original contract that has my signature on it.

2.Any and all documents detailing the accounting of this alleged debt (from inception to current date).

My mom needs a thousand dollars for a car repair?

however her credit is horrible and she currently has a garnishment where can she get a loan, or assistance fixing a timing belt and water pump. My mother lives in the Maryland area. Are there any in house financing programs here, pay day loan that will give that amount or even some of the amount. She needs a car b/c she has a 45 minute drive to work and suffered from an anurysum and very nervous about taking public transportation in case of emergency. Any suggestions?

My mom needs a thousand dollars for a car repair?

1.You can always try your local church, some of the local charities offer small temporary loans. Her horrible credit proves her serious lack of fiscal responsibility, so the charities use her income minus the debts as a guideline in the amt of loan. 2.You can also try some car repair tradeschools. 3.She can ask about her employee%26#039;s benefits programs at work for small emergency loans. 4.She can also ask around a local credit union if she%26#039;s a union member. 5.Another suggestion is Family Associations, and some of the ethnic groups have 6. communtiy outreach programs, like the Knights of Columbus, FreeMasons, etc. Good Luck.

My mom needs a thousand dollars for a car repair?

Contact a local high school, some school auto shops will do the repair for the cost of parts only.

My mom needs a thousand dollars for a car repair?

if there is a state aid place there try them or some place like red cross ?

I have 3 payment defaults on my credit report it happend 2 years ago was stupid and did not care.?

now i need to repair this situation and dont know where to go or wat to do

I have 3 payment defaults on my credit report it happend 2 years ago was stupid and did not care.?

Contact the creditors and pay them. You may be able to negotiate a payment of less than the balance owed, since they%26#039;ll be happy to get even part of their money back. Most creditors will be willing to set up a payment plan, if the defaults are too much for you to pay off all at once. The problem with waiting for it to drop off your report is that the creditors could see your debt to a collection agency. The collection agency then shows up as a new creditor and the clock starts on the 7 yrs on that debt. The larger the debts, the more likely that this will happen. I%26#039;d just contact the creditors and see what you can work out. Good Luck!

I have 3 payment defaults on my credit report it happend 2 years ago was stupid and did not care.?

i can help u by giving idea only bcoz im not expert with these

I have 3 payment defaults on my credit report it happend 2 years ago was stupid and did not care.?

If your credit card company has already reported the defaults to the credit bureaus, I am afraid there is not much you can do outside of waiting 5 more years until the negative information falls off your credit report. Otherwise, there is really no way to re-write history. Sometimes you can try to write letters to the three major credit bureaus disputing the information on the account, but if it is accurate and you really did default on the payments, they will find that out during their investigation and keep it on your credit report anyway.

Another thing you could try to do which may or may not work is call up the customer service dept. of the credit card company and try to negotiate with them. You might not get that far with them, but it%26#039;s worth a try to give them a call and see what they would be willing to have you do in exchange for having them take that info off your report. Good luck!

I have 3 payment defaults on my credit report it happend 2 years ago was stupid and did not care.?

stary paying them off

What do you did if you have bad credit?

How do you get i t better? How long does it take to repair? When could you get a mortgage?

What do you did if you have bad credit?

You need to get a credit check done. Contact companies like experian to see what debts you owe. Once found out, start paying them off at an affordable rate. Once paid you will slowly but surely get good credit. But like all means of credit control.

To get credit, you need credit!

What do you did if you have bad credit?

You can always get a mortgage if you have a sizable deposit. You will probably have to pay a higher interest rate though.

If you want to improve your credit score, make sure you are on the voters roll this counts for 25% of your score.

Also try to get a credit card, do not spend much on it but make sure what you do spend you prove you are a good payer and make the payments in full and on time

What do you did if you have bad credit?

You worked to get the bad credit, now you have to work harder to get it changed... PAY YOUR BILLS.! and on time, besides.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

fix it

takes a couple years.

get a small limit credit card

use it

DONT miss a payment.

small steps grasshopper.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

To make it better you HAVE to pay your bills on time!!!!!Things stay on your credit report 7-10 years so every good item you get on there helps offset the bad.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

There are a lot of things that would cause you to have bad credit. I think the main things are late payments and having too many credit cards. The best thing to do is to make an extra effort to pay bills on time if it%26#039;s possible, and close some credit card accounts if you feel you have too many. Realistically we only need 1 or 2 credit cards max, they see the extra credit cards as potential debt and they factor that in to your credit score. If you have a foreclosure/bankruptcy on your credit, that can stay on there for at least 7 years, and it will be pretty much impossible to get a loan or a mortgage during that time. Hope that helps.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

run a credit report on yourself. It is free at www.annualcreditreport.com. Then call who u are in dept with and make sure the balance is correct and see if you can get on a pymt plan. Then start paying. Once pd off keep your receipts and turn them in to every credit bureau. There are 3 major ones. When you go in to apply for your mortgage take your receipts with you to prove you had paid your depts. Some companies work with you. Good Luck.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

pray

What do you did if you have bad credit?

every month it can get better by paying up. If you have any active accounts, make sure they are never late again and save to pay off accounts in collections. stay away from credit counselors-you can do it yourself. I owed $500 to altel for breaking a contract. when i saved up $300, i called them and asked if they would settle today for a reduced amount. They settled with me for $233 because that was the cost of my bill when the phone was shut off. i have worked two and three jobs to accumulate enough cash to get out of the hole. when you do get out, NEVER get back in!!!

What do you did if you have bad credit?

There are mortgages available for just about everybody no matter what you credit report says.. however, your credit report is going to determine how much you are going to pay in interest to get the loan.

Check out about.com閳ユ獨 articles on credit and repair.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

DONT spend any more. Cut up any credit/store cards u have. Get in touch with creditors, explain you are unable to meet the required repayments and ask if they will help you arrange a more affordable repayment plan. Make sure you dont fall back on the repayments as they will come down hard on you.

You can go to the C.A.B who will help set up repayments within your means with creditors and get your finances back on track.

As for mortgages...cant help you on that.

Good luck

What do you did if you have bad credit?

My MIL ruined my husband%26#039;s credit when he was younger. To those who are wondering how, he was a minor when he got a job and had to have her on the sig. card and she wrote bad checks, etc...

Anyways, some companies will remove the debt from your report if you pay it off, or at least report that you are making payments on the debt.

There really isn%26#039;t anyway that I know of to %26quot;repair%26quot; your credit report. You can call the companies and ask them to do what I mentioned above and just keep the bills that you currently have paid up-to-date. Generally, it takes 7 years for the debts to be removed from your credit report.

Gradually, you can start building it again by opening a bank account and keeping it out of the red. You can open a credit card and occasionally put charge small amounts and pay them off- but, keep the card. I%26#039;m not sure about the mortgage.

And always visit annualcreditreport.com at least once a year and get your free copy of your credit report from each of the 3 major credit reporting agencies to keep an eye on it.

What do you did if you have bad credit?

only You and TIM will get the score better

Start to pay the bill on time, reduce the debt as quickly as possible so your debt ratio will go down that make your credit score go up. you could get the morgae when your credit score above 700 so you could get the cheapest available loan

What do you did if you have bad credit?

You can get a mortgage with bad credit - their called credit repair mortgages. e-mail if you want to know more.

Pre-packaged website for a small business (e.g. auto repair shop) to use as a "template"?

Are there vendors who sell prepackaged website solutions for small businesses? If so, please provide links.

An acquaintance of mine is an independent auto mechanic. He has asked me to help him put together a simple website to help publicize his shop .... something on the order of %26quot;brochure-ware%26quot;.

My first thought was to look around at existing websites and get permission to reuse/borrow by looking at the %26quot;source code%26quot; with View + Source. I%26#039;ve been the volunteer webmaster for a number of websites over the years, and am familiar with html, css, and php.

However, I got to wondering if there are vendors with pre-packaged websites that might be a better way to go. My impression is that such a %26quot;bundle%26quot; would have a variety of %26quot;templates%26quot; which you would customize for your specific situation (phone number, address, pictures, services provided, etc.)

The proposed website wouldn%26#039;t be actually selling anything, so it wouldn%26#039;t need to handle credit cards, rma%26#039;s, or a %26quot;shopping cart%26quot;.

Pre-packaged website for a small business (e.g. auto repair shop) to use as a %26quot;template%26quot;?

look for templates like templates.com and others like freewebtemplates.com, steves-templates.com

or try a google search---%26gt;web templates

but the best is microsoft office live since its free, i dont know if they have automotive template though.

Pre-packaged website for a small business (e.g. auto repair shop) to use as a %26quot;template%26quot;?

There are two ways you can go. If you go to http://www.doggydomains.com theres a place that says build a website. There%26#039;s a link that takes you to prebuilt website templates you can search through and customize. Or, you can get the website tonight package that lets you create a website easily without the programming. Hope this helps.

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won't budge, Any

bought in Jan. Dealer won%26#039;t touch it b/c I put 9000 miles on it. It%26#039;s a commuter car!- Still paying finance, I have bad credit. What do I do?

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

Nothing. How was the dealer supposed to know there was a problem. They probably bought it at an auction, checked to make sure it was ok and sold it. Some issues can%26#039;t be detected until they happen. That is why it is your responsibility as a consumer to take it to a mechanic to have it inspected before you sign on the dotted line. I am sure you bought the car %26quot;As is%26quot; with no warranty implied. That is exactly what you got.

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

You are pretty much screwed. Even in states with Lemon Laws, most only cover cars for 90 days or 3000 miles on used cars.

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

bypass the dealer and go right to Ford%26#039;s head office. Speak to customer service and relate your entire problem, they usually get you what you need.

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

Keep paying, but file your complaint with the Department of Consumer Protection. See if you can show evidence that the problems started before the 90 days were up.

In the future, don%26#039;t buy a car on payments if it is older than 5 years old. A car that old simply won%26#039;t make it 90 days without something.

By the way, when this is over.... DON%26#039;T go to that dealer EVER.

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

we bought a 2002 f150 and about 6 mos later the clutch went out and the dealer (drive time dealership) said they would not fix the problem but the offset some payments to help us defer the cost. you might want to try to get them to do that. but a used car was some elses problem that is why they got rid of it. you assume a risk everytime you buy a used car or anything used. always think that you may have to put 1000.00 into it 6 months down the road and if you do you will know and if you dont well you got a good car that will do oyu good

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

Welcome to the real world.

Why would the dealer be responsible?

If you buy a gallon of milk and you let it go bad in the fridge after 3 weeks. Do you take it back to the grocery store and demand for it to be replaced? No.

So why would the dealership be liable for anything after the car left their lot?

I have worked in cars all my life, not sales, and it just blows me away by how many people think dealers are con artists, thieves, crooks, etc. Not even 1% are crooked and thats less then the basic retail division which is 4%.

A dealer buys a car at auction, checks it over the best he can, fixes what he see%26#039;s and then sells it. Past that he has no insight or magical ball that will tell him what will break in 2 months, 6 months or a year.

If cars were that predictable we wouldn%26#039;t need car wreckers, we wouldn%26#039;t need 1/2 the mechanics, 1/2 the dealers, etc.

Few years ago I bought a Blazer as another work truck. Bought it AS-IS. I drove around in the truck for over 6 hours testing it out, putting it through the course if you want to say. One tough sound truck. I paid, stopped by a local drive thru window for dinner and didn%26#039;t even make it another 6 miles and the fuel pump quit. After a tow and a new fuel pump...$1182 right AFTER I just paid for the vehicle.

Was it the dealers fault...no...how could it be?

Maintance and breakage is part of owning a car. When you buy a car never get what you can afford in payment but rather payment, insurance, gas and 10% of payment per month as maintanace.

So if you think you can afford $400 a month on a car, no....its $275 cause $27.50 is maintance, $50 in gas easy, $50 in insurance easy. That is the true $400 a month payment.

Since you have bad credit you have now realized that you are stuck with the buy here pay here cars, the low end cars, etc. Its the penalty for getting the bad credit. All you can do is work harder, suck it up and keep paying. The credit is the main goal to fix, not the car, just consider it cash lost to not loose as much later on.

I know the pain as I am watching cash go away due to being forced into bancruptcy a few years ago. Its the price you pay, all you can do is suck it up and keep going. To quit or fall back will just hurt worse.

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

It certainly is a dilemma. I would be surprised if you have anything in the way of legal recourse, although that said, I have more than once been surprised in this life.

Still, I have worked on Tauruses from time to time. I bought one from an auction once that needed quite a bit of work and fixed it up for my daughter to drive in high school. Thinking back on that experience, I was trying to imagine what the likely failures were that could amount fo so large a sum.

I recall having to replace both half shafts and all four cv joints. I also recall having to pull the engine to replace the drive plate--Ford%26#039;s flimsy stamped metal excuse for what should have been a cast iron piece of some substance.

If you are a mind to, I would be happy to have you contact me directly to discuss the nature of the repairs via an exchange of emails. Perhaps at least I can try to help you ascertain if the repairs are merited and reasonable. I can be reached at anonymourati@msn.com

96 Ford Taurus SHO died after 91 days of purchase - $2300 repair bill. Dealer won%26#039;t budge, Any options?

Sorry %26quot;AS-IS%26quot; they dont have to help you.

I bought a car second hand, it has been in the repair shop more than i have driven it, plus it has b

it also has been wrecked in which in the dealer never told us about. what can i do to give it back with out it hurting my credit score, I can%26#039;t keep a car that is always in the shop and i am tired of paying for a dead horese.

I bought a car second hand, it has been in the repair shop more than i have driven it, plus it has been wrecke

If the car was wrecked previously, and you can prove it and prove that the dealer did not disclose this in any of the paper work you signed, then contact a lawyer. You may have a case. It depends on the state your in. However look over your paper closely. If anything you signed indicates the car was rebuilt or has salvage title you may be stuck.

The other thing to do is just to try to sell the car as is. Or trade it in for another vehicle. I hate to hear it when a sale person rips off a customer. It just makes the whole industry seem bad. Next time you purchase a used car, inform the seller you want to tkae the car to a mechanic to have it inspected prior to purchase. And take it to your own mechanic for inspection. At a minimum have a compression test done on the engine and fluids checked.

Good Luck. Caveat Emptor!

I bought a car second hand, it has been in the repair shop more than i have driven it, plus it has been wrecke

There is such a thing called a Lemon Law. It will keep your credit in the clear and will allow you to return your vehicle and obtain another be sure to check out your new vehicle better before you buy.

I bought a car second hand, it has been in the repair shop more than i have driven it, plus it has been wrecke

Maybe, it depends how much you paid for the car.

Next time use CarFax. You did not do your homework when you bought this car.

I bought a car second hand, it has been in the repair shop more than i have driven it, plus it has been wrecke

If they didn%26#039;t tell you that it had been in a wreck, then you should take them to court.

I bought a car second hand, it has been in the repair shop more than i have driven it, plus it has been wrecke

If the car has been wrecked and the dealer didn%26#039;t disclose that information to you get a lawyer.

I just bough a home and it needs some updating and repair are there programs out there for me and my

government assisting programs.....our credit is not the best right now..........

I just bough a home and it needs some updating and repair are there programs out there for me and my brother.?

if your credit was good enough to get the house wait a few months build equity and re-fi

I just bough a home and it needs some updating and repair are there programs out there for me and my brother.?

Usually only if the home has historical value, or if it is in a particularly bad area that the local government is trying to prevent from getting worse.

Check with your: local HUD office, city hall, freindly community bank loan officer or mortgage broker, they might have something.

I just bough a home and it needs some updating and repair are there programs out there for me and my brother.?

Yes, it is called hard work.

I just bough a home and it needs some updating and repair are there programs out there for me and my brother.?

Yes. FHA has a program. Your credit will not be too important. I am not sure if you can do the work yourself or if you need a contractor. I either event you will have to get a permit if there is heating, electrical, or plumbing. You should check with municipality. The program is the MODIFYIED 203K program.

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit frau

he made that stupid mistake, and paid for it of course (jail time). he has all it takes to become a firefighter, specially because he would like to serve the community in a positive manner to try to repair the demade he has coused.

do you think he could get in having that on his background?

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

Highly unlikely. Since he was only arrested last year, he%26#039;s probably still on probation. Most government jobs are closed to people with many different types of misdemeanors. For example, a conviction for a simple fight, as a misdemeanor, results in a a lifelong firearms ban which eliminates any law enforcement work.

Your boyfriend will likely have to complete probation successfully. Following that, he will have to look into whatever pardoning procedures you state has. If the fraud was a felony and is very recent, a pardon is unlikely. Even if the pardon were granted, it could take a very long time to get the signature. You should also know that an expungement does not conceal a conviction from a government background check.

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

He should go for it!!

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

if theres a fire in my house hell steal my wallet while he puts the fire out. no thnx

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

He will not be accepted. They have to have very clean records.

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

might not happen they check ur record and 1 year of credit

fraud might affect him

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

I wouldn%26#039;t worry, he%26#039;ll fit right in.

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

LOL to above poster. I wasn%26#039;t going to say it....

He doesn%26#039;t have all it takes. He has a serious criminal record, relating to theft and moral terpitude. No dept I know of will hire him, especially not so soon. If it was years later, he may be able to show change and a positive record since.

Plus, in many states, a felony conviction bars you from holding a public office, which is what a FF, police officer etc is.

He loses nothing by applying, but he shouldn%26#039;t get his hopes up. Most jobs have plenty of qualified candidates and why take a thief or criminal when the next twenty guys (or gals) are perfect. Its not worth the risk to them. You live and work closely with others and are in situations where you can morally make bad choices,(like peoples homes, businesses etc) something he has a track record of doing badly.

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

No way is he gonna get any type of job for any government run agency until his record has been clear for a minimum of 5 years %26amp; he can show written proof that he has completed all the terms of the court %26amp; the judgement that was set down in his case. No doubt he is still on probation %26amp; he must complete that before being accepted into the Academy. As far as I know, he can%26#039;t even become a Wildland Firefighter with this hanging over his head. He should have thought about this before. You might think he%26#039;d make a good employee, but it shows that he lacks strength of character, which is one big character flaw that would put him at the top of the high risk category. Remember, he%26#039;s going to become part of a team %26amp; his actions effect the other team members. He should start off with counseling %26amp; get his record cleaned up in order to prove he has changed his way of thinking %26amp; living.

I%26#039;d advise him to speak to a Captain %26amp; find out if he%26#039;s wasting his time wanting to get into this line of work.

My boyfriend would like to become a firefighter, but he was arrested last year for doing credit fraud?

Now that he has a felony on his record he will have a hard time getting any good jobs never mind going for a firefighters position.

But it never hurts to try all they can say is no right so I say try anyway you never know whats around the corner.

I was online tonight looking @ the possibility of a payday loan for a car repair and i filled out a

applications. I simply thought that you had to click on something surely to agree to the terms and it sort of moduled the loan for you showing how you pay back and so forth ..I filled out 1 application and it said in big bold print %26quot;YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR A PREPAID MASTERCARD WITH A 7,500 CREDIT LIMIT%26quot; and then in small print it said they would be taking out of my checking account a 1 time fee of 149.95 within 1 business day..WOAH!! HOLD ON.. no way, that%26#039;s not what I wanted. It didn%26#039;t even give me an option to click on to decline it..I tried to call a 800 # but said it was AFTER HRS and I also sent them an EMAIL telling them not to take that $ from my account..they have my routing number and my acct number because like I said I thought I was seeing what the terms would be for a payday loan..any suggestions??I have direct deposit and I am going to EXPLODE if they take that $ out of my account..

I was online tonight looking @ the possibility of a payday loan for a car repair and i filled out a couple of?

I agree with the other posts, continue trying to contact them..... if they say they open at 8 am, I would be calling them starting around 7:58 am so you can be first in line...... if that fails and even if it doesn%26#039;t, contact or better yet go to your bank and speak with the branch manager tell them what they are trying to do and that you didn%26#039;t authorize them to process that and see if you can get her/him to give you a statement.... or if it is possible tell them to do a stop payment on the charge.... it usually cost around $5.00 but $5.00 is better than the $149.95. Any card company that has that much of a substansial fee should be closed down in my opionion. I also suggest opening up a new account and transfer everything over to the new account..... as this may not even be a credit card company...... BUT BE SURE you contact the bank so they know you didn%26#039;t authorize the transaction and that you shouldn%26#039;t be held accountable if it does go through. If you get ahold of the company tell them that you didn%26#039;t authorize the process.. and that if they follow through with it you will be taking them to court at their expense plus more for loss time at work etc. Try to cover your bases as much as possible so you will have more of a leg to stand on if something more becomes of this.......

Also, if I may make a suggestion....... NEVER NEVER NEVER do a payday loan..... they have outrageous fees and a extremly outrageous interest rate......... If it is possible borrow from friends and family, even if you have to borrow so much from one and so much from another, this is much better than doing a payday loan........ you may also consider contacting Suze Orman at her site: http://suzeorman.com/ but be prepared for her to say something about the payday loan if you do contact her....... but still have to give her props though..... hope this helps...... don%26#039;t know what else to suggest other then contacting the company and your bank

I was online tonight looking @ the possibility of a payday loan for a car repair and i filled out a couple of?

I would have to see what you clicked on but it sounds like it said you were qualified, not that it actually processed you for the card. But just to be safe you need to contact your bank tomorrow or monday and make sure no such transaction took place. You might even consider closing the account and establishing a new one . If it did go through file a fraudulent charge report. Most banks will investigate and refund the amount although that can take weeks.

Edit- I read your extra details. Since you went ahead and gave out all your vital bank and personal info you must assume the worst. Contact your bank ASAP and stop it. This is fraud. If they took the money then file a report immediately. And NEVER do an online payday app. again.

And for the record, do NOT do a payday loan. These should be illegal. They will only rip you off with obscene interest rates and endless rollovers with even more criminal interest each week you can%26#039;t pay it back. These outfits are predatory scumbags who prey on those who are desperate. Find any way to solve your financial crunch but that.

I was online tonight looking @ the possibility of a payday loan for a car repair and i filled out a couple of?

In addition to talking with your bank to try to stop the transaction before it takes place, you should continue (in the morning) to try to contact the credit card company. I%26#039;m pretty sure that you have a certain number of days to change your mind and cancel the agreement. If so, even if they take the money from your account, they will have to refund it within a few business days.

Good luck!

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don't have the money to repair it.?

My car fuel pump went bad and needs replacing. I took it to Firestone and they%26#039;re saying it%26#039;s gonna cost me $600 to fix it When they told me this I nearly dropped dead. Now I can%26#039;t even get to work because of this. I tired getting a loan but because of not having much credit history I got turned down by everyone I applied to. I need help bad. All my life nothing but bad things have happened to me and I don%26#039;t know why. Sometimes I think life just isn%26#039;t worth living. This isn%26#039;t just about my car but everything else in my miserable life. I guess What I need to know is if what Firestone is charging me is reasonable and how do I get the money to fix my car. Hopefully, I%26#039;ll still be around to read the comments.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

thats probably about the going rate on a fuel pump. I paid 600 to have a diesel mechanic sale me a pump and look at the truck for 2 hours. I ended up changing the pump %26amp; dropping my tank of my f250 in a walmart parking lot to clean my intake pick up tube. (I was far from home) If you know how to change a fuel pump check Ebay for a pump or a auto parts store. They can usually print instructions on installation. If you need tools ask a family member or friend.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

looks like you don%26#039;t have a car problem but financial problem you need to go back and listen to daddy.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

The repair of autos has become riduculous. Vicious circle. Everyone wants a raise. In order to get a raise, the employer has to raise the prices. You can replace the fuel pump yourself and save a lot of money. Just take the bull by the horns and deal with it. You can also use this philosophy in the other areas of your life as well instead of crying about how bad you have it. There was a man that complained about how bad his feet hurt, until he met a man that had no feet. You are not the only person in the world that has had it rough. It all depends on how you deal with it. I challenge everything.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

It%26#039;s certainly worth calling a few more shops and getting other estimates. Go with the cheapest one. Remember you%26#039;ll have to get it towed there if you find somewhere cheaper. Have you asked Firestone about their credit? They have there own credit company and might be able to finance it for you.

If you%26#039;re in dire straights financially, call around to some churches (hopefully you%26#039;re a member of one) and find out what community service help is available in your area. Department of Family Services, state agencies or something like that. Look through the blue pages in the phone book.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

first either start walking or find some other way to work unemployed is not going to help. second find a freind with a tool box and get to it. the pump should be 100 to 300 at your local parts store and in a few hours it will be fixed.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

if the fuel pumps ******, you can just pull it out yourself and get a sh or new pump, fit it back up, make sure it got feed and earth with the key on, all good. sused, you dont have to pay for labour and marked up stuffs

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

Yeah that%26#039;s about right If your fuel pump is in the gas tank. The pump can cost from $50 to $200.

Its not a complicated job, You could do it yourself it will require jacking the car up and 3 or 4 hand tools.

If you are not mechanically inclined you may want to invest in a %26quot;ten speed. For temporary transit.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

Year, mileage, make and model of the car? Don%26#039;t give up just yet...lots of solutions available.

You could sell the car as is on your own and take a loss because of the fuel pump being bad or trade it in at a dealer for another one----dealers love trade-ins that are in otherwise good shape but need repairs because they can repair it for cost and make money on the deal.....you%26#039;ll lose some money in the deal but at least, you can buy another lesser expensive car with the trade-in amount hopefully. Just don%26#039;t let them discount it for more than the repairs and trade-in value but without it running, it may take a little haggling....don%26#039;t give up too much.

You could check some other area shops for a better price on replacing the pump but it%26#039;s probably going to be around the same price unless you find a shop with a cheaper labor rate and markup on parts.

You could try replacing the pump yourself....buy a new pump and a shop/repair manual at a parts store and read the procedure to do the repair....drop the tank---after draining it---to replace the pump....might need a couple friends to help and some basic tools.

You could buy a cheapo beater car to get by with till you have the funds to fix yours...Craiglist.org has lots of car ads for sale by owner that can be really cheap or ask some friends if they have a spare car to borrow for a few weeks.

Sell some personal possesions to raise the money for repairs....Craigslist again has--- for sale-- ads you can post.

Try to get a budget made up for expenses like this whenever you own a car---I usually recommend to people that they budget 100.00 a month to put aside in a savings account for car repairs or have a credit card with a 1000.00 limit and don%26#039;t use it for anything but emergency car repairs. Once you establish an emergency fund, don%26#039;t touch it for anything else, no matter how tempting it is.

Life can be pretty frustrating sometimes but it%26#039;s not all bad...just takes a little preparation and forethought to be prepared for life%26#039;s little problems---lots of people have it way worse than you do so don%26#039;t despair....just think through your options.

My car fuel pump broke on me and I don%26#039;t have the money to repair it.?

They are not hard to fix, requires two people and some tools.

is there anyone in your neighborhood who works on cars?

that might do it for less $$ also you can get a pump at your local salvage/junk yard for a lot less, ask them if they can test it. i just did one in a 98 ford windstar total cost $35.00..

PS!! unhook your battery before doing anything.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non func

I bought a used chevy suburban. I thought I made a good purchase. I generally take care of my vehichels. The car began giving me grief 20 days after I bought it. The finance company deferred one payment because I had to pay nearly $300 to fix it. This weekend the truck broke down again and the cost of repair will exceed $2000. I asked the finance company if there were any options for me and I was told no, because I signed an AS IS contract. I need my vehicle to work but I don%26#039;t have the money to keep pouring into this lemon. We have car dealers here, that offer the push, pull or drag deals. They say they will pay off you trade no matter what you owe. Is this my only choice or do I have other options?

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

Even if they pay off your trade, you%26#039;re still gonna pay for both vehicles. They pay it off then add that amount to the new car.

You are still protected under the lemon law in most states tho. Find your states Lemon Law and see what can be done. You%26#039;d do best to get a lawyer and take the fight to them. It%26#039;s gonna take time you don%26#039;t have to get out of it tho.

If this is a small mom and pop place I would take it back to them tell them keep it. If it%26#039;s a big finance company they will ruin your credit as voluntary Repos are worse than just not making your payments.

Did you try taking it to different shops to get more estimates? $2000 is a lot of money for anything on a car and you may be getting ripped off. Only a Transmission or Engine rebuild would cost that much and that qualifies as a lemon in most places.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

Your first clue that it was a lemon was a contract that said AS IS! I think it%26#039;s your only option.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

well the push drag and pull deals are ok, but remember whatever they pay off, you still have to pay to them on a different car. Almost all used cars are AS IS... Many car dealers will take it back and refinance your loan and give you another car. Thats how they get more money. They sell you a crappy car, it goes bad, you come back they trade up and you think wow how nice, and boom you are paying 2x as much... I would never go through a car company that offers its own financing unless i have heard ONLY great things about it.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

Yea, you might want to see if you can get a decent trade in on that thing, without pouring the 2000 into it. I don%26#039;t really know, thats a pretty tough situation but see what the dealers will do for you.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

They%26#039;ll pay off your trade no matter what you owe, but they will roll your negative equity into the new loan.

ie if you owe $10,000 on the Suburban and they give you $10,000 for it, they are really only giving you $7,000 for it, and putting the $3,000 difference into the loan on your new car.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

AS IS,simply means if it breaks, they won%26#039;t fix it under warranty, because you have none.If you fail to pay,it affects your creditscore and they re-po the vehicle. As for the %26quot;Any Trade%26quot; dealers, they simply jack up the price of the car you%26#039;re buying, above what it%26#039;s worth which is unethical.You%26#039;d be better off buying from a friend or relative.

Is signing an AS IS contract on a used vehicle the death of your credit, if the car becomes non functional?

They knew what they were doing when they sold that lemon. However there is nothing you can do about it except to try trading it back in and get another loan. However on your next vertical have it certified that it is in good condition. Yes that means you will have to pay more money but in the long run you will know that you have a better car than the one they stuck you with. As is means just that! They made money on you and didn%26#039;t even blink an eye when you drove off.

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can't get ou

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

Hi, just do the following steps and ur pc should be fine:

1.disable system restore

2.restart in safe mode and visit http://onecare.live.com and run Microsoft%26#039;s free safety scan to remove all viruses, trojans, spyware, malware, and registry errors.

3.after that restart normally and upgrade ur security protection and scan from it or download these tools below, update them and scan from them:

AVG Anti virus: http://free.grisoft.com

Spybot: http://www.download.com

4.now clear ur browsers cache, cookies, histroy, etc.

5.defragment ur hard disk and scan for errors and bad sectors.

6.restart ur computer normally and u can enable system restore if u want but I suggest u don%26#039;t cause all it does is take up system resources and disk space and allows viruses to create back up of themselves.

I hope I helped.

Good Luck!

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

There%26#039;s always a way of fixing without paying for anything, but not with the kind of information you%26#039;re giving out now.

%26quot; it says it%26#039;s infected %26quot; doesn%26#039;t quite do it.

-%26gt; Include virus name that Norton indicates.

-%26gt; Include file names that Norton indicates.

-%26gt; Post a HiJack This log on pc forums

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

Download avast

http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-...

and do a full scan.

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

Try running a free internet online scan at panda internet security. It will tell you the state of your pc but won%26#039;t clear it for free. To do that save the page that tell you what files are infected then search for the file and delete it manually.

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

Run AV scan in safe mode.

Run a couple good Free Antispyware programs like Superantispyware and A-Squared Free 3.0 to check for any spyware.

Delete Windows system restore points if infections are found.

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

go to c-net.com and look under downloads. i%26#039;d suggest downloading avg and ad aware. both are free.

My computor is running slow i think it has a virus i do not have a credit card and can%26#039;t get out?

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Saf

Before selling the lap-top, all private and confidential matters in that computer will be transferred to the Recycle Bin. All items in the Recycle Bin are subsequently deleted to prevent any access to the private and confidential information in the computer. These include my bank accounts,Visa and Master Card numbers which I used for payment via the internet. I am now working in Africa and before going home, I intend to sell this lap-top to an African who is just an acquaintance. He says he will resell it as a middleman. This means that I do not know who is the ultimate buyer and there will be no means of tracing him. I am a Singaporean and returning home soon. The price offered is very good. The password to access the main menu will be given to him so as to enable him to use the computer. Is there any danger in selling this lap-top to a starnger who deals in computers and repair and modify them for resale? Can he subsequently retrieve data which I have deleted from the Recycle Bin?

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

To be safe :

1) Format ur drive

2) When u access internet, temporary folders get forrmed.

Search .tmp on your laptop n erase them all,Also clear all cookies from internet browser.

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

well just make shure there is no private stuff that u don%26#039;t want peeps 2 c adn ur good 2 sell

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

Nope!

Give it to me, and I will retrieve ALL your personal details on that computer!

Re format the hard drive, or download a good cleaning program!

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

No there are software which can recover deleted files from hardrive

So please use some harddrive eraser

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

NO. I can recover your data.

I would at the least get eraser http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ and wipe the free space. This is assuming they want the OS left alone. Another alternative is to clean the entire disk, and then re-install the OS.

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

download boot and nuke %26amp; nuke the hell out of your harddrive. simply deleting files from your pc doesn%26#039;t get rid of them, they can be restored.

link to the file below for your convenience.

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

deleting something to the recycle bin only clears the information from that part of the hard drive an until or unless that part of the hard drive is overwritten, the information can still be retrieved from it.....you are better off reinstalling the Operating system and formatting the hard drive....when reinstalling do not setup any passwords and set the default user as %26quot;owner%26quot; or somthing like that....that way whoever gets the computer in the end can change the name and setup their own password rather than being forced to use yours. Also if it is running windows you have to supply them with the operating system disc or at least a copy of it or the restore disc that came with the computer or you cannot legally sell it with the os on it.

If you do not have the disc(s) then just format the laptop and leave it without an OS and then the person purchasing it will have to install their own copy.

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

remove hard drive,smash it.

I am selling my lap-top. I have deleted all items in my Recycle Bin including my credit card no. Safe to sell?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Emptying the recycle bin does not remove important information from your computer. A better way would be to re-load the operating system from your original disks. This will erase all saved information, essentially leaving the new buyer with a new computer that has no personal information in it. Although a determined hacker could go deeper into the hard drive and retrieve information....re-loading the OS (Windows XP or 98...or whatever you are running) is usually sufficient for good protection. Good luck!

No, you must format the Hard Drive and reinstall Windows. If you do not know, i recommend taking it to a TRUSTED FRIEND. Not just someone who said that they would over the internet.

You don%26#039;t just want to re-format the hard drive. You actually want to write data over the top of the hard disk so that there is no way that old data can be recovered.

Windows doesn%26#039;t have a built-in way of doing this. (On Mac OSX, Disk Utility has three options of erasing data, up to a 35-pass over-write and erase!)

One way you can over-write is to copy data until the hard disk is full, then delete some data, then defragment. If you do this a 3 times than format 3 times, you should be safe.

Just formatting won%26#039;t render data impossible to recover for the committed enthusiast with the right tools.

If you are selling your computer, thoroughly clean your hard drive. Deleting files and reformatting is not enough. Reformatting does not overwrite every sector, and private information can remain retrievable. Use a secure delete or disk wiping utility to overwrite every sector on all hard drives. Be sure to use a utility that supports the U.S. DoD standard of seven passes or wipes. While this method is good enough for most people, be aware that the only absolute way of destroying all traces of everything your hard drives is to have these disks degaussed (demagnetized) and physically destroyed.

Suggested: BCWipe, Evidence Eliminator, or SDelete.

I asked a question, Adam D, about 1 week ago. Many responses! and I asked one today. Why no credit?

About 1 week ago I asked for help in finding my son. Adam D. helped me in finding him. He was able to do so, in only a weeks time. I am happy in that I can see him again. Just-the-same, today I asked another question. It is in regard to my niece. In December she had her new beautiful vehicle damaged. She is sick hearted as she is only 20 and this was her first car. It was a hit and run. leaving her car in terrible shape. Her insurance company refuses to repair her car based on the fact that she was late in her payment. But, she received no late notice and the insurance company, upon receiving her payment, cashed the cashier%26#039;s check which she sent to them. Does it not mean that in cashing the cashier%26#039;s check that the insurance company is implying that she is still covered by the company policy? Also, they came out and took photos of her damaged car. Please, she is so young and sick about this. Anyone who knows anything about vehicle insurance.

If they cashed her cashiers check then they are implying that she is covered but with a laps in coverage.
